The culture of a people is the very esssence of their identity. The Innu Indian nation, to which we belong, is distinct from Québec’s other First Nations, with its own customs and way of life. Our community, Essipit (river shellfish), has a culture unlike that of other by its environment and history. We are proud of our cultural heritage, and this pride is reflected in an ongoing struggle to keep our cultural identity alive in today’s world. As part of our duty to our forefathers and children, we proudly invite you to come and learn more about we are !
